When recruiting new associates, Laborde & Neuner looks for the same scholastic excellence which distinguishes our current team. In terms of academic performance, we typically interview students who rank among the top of their class. Exceptional writing ability as demonstrated through practical experience is viewed as an important asset in our practice.

At Laborde & Neuner, new associates can expect to receive hands-on experience. While large enough to attract sophisticated clients and to work on complex legal issues, we are small enough to offer new attorneys ample opportunity to meet with clients and participate at trial. A senior attorney mentors each new attorney. Organized informal lunches establish a forum for additional mentoring and internal relationship development.

Generally, new associates are selected from the group of summer interns. In selecting attorneys for the Laborde & Neuner team, we seek individuals who strive for balance between their legal practice and outside interests. The Firm prides itself on maintaining a culture that encourages attorneys to maintain a personal life outside of work. Although we expect exceptional work quality and a demonstrated commitment to productivity, we also encourage our attorneys to balance work with family life and personal pursuits.
