In 1934, firm founder, C E. Laborde, Jr., began a general practice in Marksville, Louisiana. Cliffe E. Laborde III opened a branch office in Lafayette in 1982 and was joined by Frank X. Neuner, Jr. in 1987 to form the current law firm, Laborde & Neuner. The firm established itself as among the best maritime defense firms, and it is still recognized for its excellence in maritime & admiralty law and litigation. Since then, the firm has been comprised of many well-respected attorneys.
