Will Montz specializes in insurance coverage, maritime law and corporate law. Montz primarily represents insurance companies in disputes involving first party property claims, bad faith claims and general commercial litigation. His maritime work involves representing companies facing personal injury claims. Montz’s corporate experience has consisted of forming different types of business entities to fit his client̓s needs and reviewing and drafting contracts including Master Service Agreements. Montz has represented several national insurance companies, including CNA Insurance, as well as several of the region̓s premier oil service companies.
Montz graduated from UL Lafayette with a bachelor of science degree in sports medicine in 2001. He received his juris doctor from Loyola University School of Law in New Orleans in 2004. Montz has been involved in community service with the Homeless Experience Legal Protection (HELP) Program and Lafayette Volunteer Lawyers (LVL). He was twice honored with the Lafayette Parish Bar Association’s Outstanding Attorney Award, in 2005 and 2007, for his contributions with LVL.
