Biography: |
Cliff A. LaCour was born on September 28, 1982 and is a native of Moreauville, Louisiana. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Louisiana State University in 2003 and a Juris Doctorate and Civil Law Certificate from Tulane Law School in 2006, where he graduated magna cum laude and Order of the Coif. While in law school, Mr. LaCour served as the Civil Law Representative to the Student Bar Association and was a member of the Tulane Law Academic Affairs Committee, Student Bar Association General Assembly, and the Tulane Law Hurricane Katrina Recovery Taskforce, where he also served as chair of the Environmental Committee. Mr. LaCour was also a member of the Law Student Division of the American Bar Association and Phi Delta Phi, where he served as Exchequer, and an Executive Board member of the Tulane Civil Law Society. In 2006, Mr. LaCour was named to “Who’s Who Among American Colleges & Universities.” Following law school, Mr. LaCour was admitted to practice before all Louisiana state courts, the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Louisiana, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit in 2006. Mr. LaCour practiced in Alexandria, Louisiana from 2006 to 2007 and, from 2007 to 2009, clerked for United States District Judge Tucker L. Melançon of Western District of Louisiana. He is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Lafayette Parish Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association, the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, the Duhe Inns of Court, and the Kiwanis Club of Lafayette, Louisiana. He also currently serves as the Secretary/Treasurer of the Lafayette Young Lawyers’ Association, where he has previously served as co-chair of the High School Mock Trial and Law Week committees. |
